1. Respect for Client Dignity

   - I honor the inherent worth and individuality of each client.

   - I provide services without discrimination based on race, gender, age, sexuality, religion, cultural background, or disability.

   - I respect clients' personal values, beliefs, and life choices.

 

2. Confidentiality and Privacy

   - I safeguard all client information and only share it with permission or as legally required.

   - I use discretion when discussing sensitive topics to protect the client’s confidentiality.

   - I inform clients about the limitations of confidentiality, especially in cases involving harm to self or others.

 

3. Informed Consent

   - I ensure that clients are fully informed about the nature, goals, and possible outcomes of counseling.

   - I obtain explicit consent before beginning any interventions or therapies.

   - I respect the client’s right to withdraw consent or discontinue services at any time.

 

4. Professional Integrity and Boundaries

   - I maintain professional boundaries with clients and avoid dual relationships that could impair objectivity or lead to exploitation.

       - I commit to honesty, transparency, and fairness in all professional interactions.

 

5. Competence and Professional Development

   - I provide services only within the boundaries of my expertise and qualifications.

   - I pursue ongoing education, training, and self-improvement to enhance my counseling skills and stay current with holistic practices.

   - I seek supervision or consultation when faced with challenging cases or ethical dilemmas.

 

6. Non-Maleficence and Beneficence

   - I act in the best interest of the client, prioritising their well-being and safety above all.

   - I avoid causing harm, whether through action, inaction, or negligence.

   - I offer referrals to other qualified professionals when the client’s needs exceed my competencies.

 

7. Cultural Sensitivity and Inclusiveness

   - I respect the cultural, spiritual, and personal backgrounds of all clients.

   - I acknowledge and address any biases or limitations in understanding different cultural or spiritual perspectives.

   - I strive to create an inclusive and accepting environment for clients of all backgrounds.

 

8. Integrity in Business Practices
